Referencing: CD-ROMS (accompanying books)

Many books now have a CD-ROM accompanying them. When using material from this source the following information needs to be included in your reference.

Format:
FAMILY/SURNAME, initials or name of originator of item if no author present. (Year of publication – in brackets) Title of the main publication in italics. [CD-ROM – in square brackets]. Place of Publication: publisher.

Bibliography example:
BARNES, C. (1997) Working with Technology. [CD-ROM] London: TechPress. Who’s who 1897-1998. (1998) [CD-ROM] London: Oxford University Press.

In-text citation example:
(Who’s who, 1998)

(Barnes, 1997)

‘Direct quotations are placed in single quotations marks’ (Author’s Surname, Year of Publication, p. – followed by page number – in brackets).
