Module Leaders
Module Leaders are responsible for the day-to-day organisation of each module including the delivery of the curriculum, assessment and student progress.
Level/Year Tutors
Level Tutors are assigned in most programmes to keep a watchful eye on the experience for all students in a particular level of study and to assist Programme Leaders in ensuring the Programme is running smoothly.
Personal Tutors
Personal Tutors (typically academic staff from within your course) are assigned to each student and should be seen as a key contact should you wish to discuss any matters with a member of staff not directly related to your academic study within a particular module. If you are experiencing any kind of difficulties in your life which you feel may be impacting upon your studies, and wish to discuss this with a member of staff, your Personal Tutor should be your first point of contact.
Lecturers
Lecturers form the academic teaching staff. Some academic staff are visiting lecturers, other are established staff. Many established staff will also have one or more of the roles shown above.
Placement Tutor
The placement Tutor is responsible for Work Placement on the Art Therapy programme.
Careers and Employment Service
The Careers and Employment Service is a University resource for support relating to professional placements and work experience. In addition, the office has a selection of student handouts eg. ‘How to Write a Covering Letter’ and ‘Interview Skills’.
The Careers and Employment Service have an office on both campuses, but the closest to our School on College Lane is in the Hutton Hub.
