Some of the processes in this area require a formal induction. Please speak with the technical staff to find out more information, or speak with your course tutor about arranging a full class workshop.

The Fashion programme area is in the first floor of the mercer building. The main sewing area has flat-lock industrial sewing machines with 4-thread over lockers and also 3-thread cover stitch machines. These facilities are complimented by industrial steam presses and an edge fuser with a cutting table.

The pattern cutting tables form part of the central Workshop area.

There is a collection of both female and male tailor’s mannequins available throughout the space.

The Gerber room allows access to the Gerber input and output systems and software for pattern making and grading, providing digital drafting capabilities.
