Welcome to the Creative Short Courses and Training Directory from the University of Hertfordshire, School of Creative Arts.
We offer a range of creative short courses designed to meet the needs of enthusiasts, practitioners and creative professionals. All of our courses are taught by professionals who are leaders in their fields. Tutors support and challenge those who want to learn new skills, acquire new knowledge or develop new expertise.

Booking courses
When you book a course you will receive an automated email confirming your payment and the course you have booked. You will also receive an email asking you to do a full student registration. You MUST click on this link and register yourself as a student to receive your student number. You will need your student ID and password to book any other course and also for media equipment used in your course.
Approximately two weeks before your course starts you will receive communications from us which will include:
- A map of where to come
- A parking permit
- A list of what you need to bring
- A request for a photograph of you for your student ID badge which allows you access to your workshop.

Problems with computer login and passwords

Safeguarding
The University has a Safeguarding policy in place to ensure that all students and staff feel safe, respected and secure. If you vulnerable or unsafe or have seen something that has made you think that someone else is venerable or unsafe, then please contact the Short Course office and speak to the Safeguarding designated person in confidence. Alternatively you can speak to your tutor, who will report the potential incident to the designated Safeguarding person.
